Serenity and Antonio,

If you guys run into any post-production issues that fall beyond the reach of your software, I'd be happy to help. I have a pretty decent digtal recording studio set-up, with MANY plugins that can clear up most issues. I am currently re-mastering my friend's entire podcast series because it was all done over traditional phone lines and the sound quality was poor at best.

I'm always happy to help in any way I can.

Antonio,
Hey, thanks for all the input about the techical aspects of the thing. I hope it wasn't too judgemental of me to remark about the sound quality. I know this isn't radio, with million-dollar switch boards and a staff of sound mixers, etc, so I do expect sound anomalies. I think you guys are great, though, and I'm looking forward to contributing my bit to the Pagan community as well as the GLBT and HIV+ Pagans.

Goddess bless
Raven

I want to thank you both Orion and Ravenfeather for your comments. My favorite program to use is Vegas.

It is the program to use but until I get my computer fixed or another one built, Mixcraft is the program we use for now.

Ravenfeather, I can not wait until you are a guest on the show. I love to hear what you have to say about pagans with HIV.

Orion, hit me up. I love to hear what you have to say about improving the audio quality of our shows. Thank you.

Regards, Antonio Edward...

My computer is fried. I used to use Vegas which I feel is the best pro audio/video program out there. I've worked with proTools, AVID, Sonar, and many other audio programs. Nothing in my eyes beats Vegas.
VEGAS PRO

BUT, I do not have the original CD for Vegas.

PrettyMay, an extension for Skype, does record Serenity's voice in the left channel and the online guest on the right. Now, what Vegas can do is individually control the channels, EQ Serenity and add compression/limiter on the other. Of course, we were using a cheap $10 headset from Radio Shack.

Witch in the City show #11:
http://city-witch.com/content/view/12/26/ this is Vegas...
http://city-witch.com/content/view/34/26/ this is Vegas on steroids, yes WMA 5.1 surround sound...

Also check out these videos, the original videos are 5.1 surround sound, but Flash video can only playback stereo:

http://www.viddler.com/explore/labanex/videos/10/
http://www.viddler.com/explore/labanex/videos/55/ - that is my in Balad, Iraq...

So, audio is my thing and video is my passion. It sucks now, since my laptop doesn't work anymore, I am working with tools. And trust me, I am a snob about software. I hate using Mixcraft, but I am thankful that we still do have software that works, but I really do not have much control. Mixcraft treats the PAN as a PAN both channels, not like how Cakewalk or Vegas does. It sucks, so I am dealing with a Skype recording where I wish I can separate the stereo channels into two independent audio tracks and control them individually.

So now, I am stuck with using compression/limiters at extreme settings:

I am really working on the audio now for show #21 . I should have it done by sometime tonight. Serenity of course has the ultimate say on rather she wants to air the show or not. So we will see tonight.

Thank you, Antonio

Is this a stereo track with left and right sub-tracks? If so, can each subtrack be individually normalized and EQ'd? If we can equalize the prime frequencies in Serenity's voice, we can bring it out a bit. The reverse is true for Seren's track, we can soften her prime frequencies. Also, adding an additional center-channel mono track can help bring the two together.
