Podcast #23 "keep summerland alive' 2008/06/01 15:19 Karma: 0
Kudos to the guest poet, refreshing and challenging in all it's respects. It sounds great with some Renaissance or Baroque music playing in the background; that's just me

Now, my response to this episode is this in regards to the whacked-out opposite to Summerland: WTF! We don't need that term!

I've only been in the practice for some time, but why in the realms would someone add this type of dysfucntional, dangerous, sacreligious-- and as Serenity would call it infinite fuckery of terminology! (emphasis mine).

I can't frikin' believe someone would try to add that to the vocabulary, so much so I will not even type out the actual word.

I'd like to conduct myself as if this word never existed, but only relegated to the Olympic games played along the latitude/longitude above the country of Canada and the Nordic countries that are cold most of the time.

When I crossed over from Christianity (the Pentecostal brand mind you,) to Paganism (oh, about 8 years ago or so) I dropped everything and started fresh. I'm glad I did that it's less confusing and it took a some time for the 'pentecostal shadow' to go away.

Does anyone realize the negative energy, toxicity and stress that goes along with someone telling you in varying ways (as if to do one a favor for their own good) takes a toll on one's physical body, aura and psyche?

If you pay attention, you'll know what I'm talking about.

The last thing anyone would want is a negative shadow of a religion one has abandoned --that teaches people that no matter what they do or who they are it's not good enough for some idea of a god who's neurotic, abusive and dysfunctional (also psychotic), and the least wrong thing done is a candidate for some bad place.

Why would anyone who is awake, walking on their feet and hopefully conscious want to perpetuate that crap? My take on that would be people who are afraid to completely let go of their old belief system/religion/brainwashing. Depending on the length of time one was in their prior religion and how deeply ingrained in it due to fear, guilt intimidation, threats of eternal/social isolation and the awareness/courage/ willingness to look within to remake your own rules that line up with one's highest good. Starting over was scary for me but I did it and vowed never to go that route in order to feel like I belong.

The dysfunctional family I lived with was already a reminder...that's enough for a hundred lifetimes.

Attention new Pagan/Wiccans: do not break/change/alter what's already alright; respect the ancient vocabulary/terminology/authenticity as is; it was like that before anyone were born in this realm; it will be there evolving for the better after we're gone to other realms.

Since the majority of people in this world were born to parents who are dysfunctional to varying degrees, why repeat that dangerous pattern?

This is what makes a person free from unnecessary burdens. From the length my rant should be proof enough. Thanks for reading!
